Fall at Water's Nook

Pumpkins on the porch, warm lights at dusk, and a shop full of fall.

Water's Nook at dusk, glowing with warm lights, with benches on the deck and planters full of fall pumpkins

There's a moment just before sunset when the lights along the porch come on and Water's Nook starts to glow. This time of year, it's our favorite time to be here.

Fall arrived at the shop in layers: pumpkins and mums along the deck, cornstalks by the door, and inside, throws and pillows stacked in every shade of rust, mustard, and cream.

Nita has a way of making a room feel like you've been invited in, not just stopped by to shop, and fall might be when it shows the most. Every table tells a little story: a candle beside a stack of coasters, a soft blanket folded just so, something you didn't know you needed until you saw it.

Come sit for a while

The benches out front aren't just for show. Grab a seat on the deck, wave to Noko on your way in, and take your time. There's no rush here.

Water's Nook is open every day but Tuesday at 32 Suncook Valley Rd in Alton. Come see fall in person before the pumpkins make way for winter.
